As part of its 113th anniversary celebrations, Banco Atlántida held the Conference Series “Economic Perspectives: Honduras 2026,” a forum for strategic reflection that brought together representatives from the financial, business, public, and academic sectors to analyze the challenges and opportunities that will shape the country's economic course.
The event took place in Tegucigalpa and featured prominent national and international experts who delivered keynote addresses aimed at promoting analysis, dialogue, and the development of a shared vision for Honduras's economic growth.
Among the speakers was Guillermo Bueso, CEO of Banco Atlántida and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Inversiones Atlántida (INVATLAN), considered one of the most influential financial leaders in Central America and a key figure in the transformation and expansion of banking in the region.
Also participating was Andrés Oppenheimer, a renowned journalist, political analyst, and writer, author of numerous best-selling books on politics, economics, and innovation. Oppenheimer is a columnist for The Miami Herald, where he was part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning team, and host of the television program Oppenheimer Presenta.
The conference series also featured Sergio Recinos, who holds a Master's degree in Economic Policy with a specialization in international economics and international relations, is a university professor, economic and financial consultant, and former president of the Bank of Guatemala.
During the event, specialists addressed key topics such as productive development, public-private partnerships, poverty reduction, and the economic policies necessary to promote sustainable and inclusive growth in Honduras.
This meeting was conceived as a high-level platform for the exchange of ideas and perspectives, contributing to the strengthening of economic leadership and strategic decision-making that will drive the country's development.
