As of December 20, 2024, Microfinanciera Fundeser, following a successful acquisition process, becomes part of Grupo Financiero Atlántida—a solid financial organization backed by over 112 years of experience.
Microfinanciera Fundeser, founded in 2014, operates 23 branches with 252 employees and serves 16,839 clients. It manages USD 49.4 million in assets and a loan portfolio of USD 40.5 million, more than 60% of which is concentrated in rural areas. The institution offers financial solutions that help improve the income levels of micro and small entrepreneurs, particularly those in rural sectors.
As a result of this acquisition, Microfinanciera Fundeser becomes a subsidiary of Grupo Financiero Atlántida, with its main shareholder being Inversiones Tres Lagos S.L., whose sole partner is Inversiones Atlántida. The acquisition was approved by the National Microfinance Commission (CONAMI) in Nicaragua.
The integration of Microfinanciera Fundeser strengthens Grupo Financiero Atlántida’s presence in the Nicaraguan market, recognizing the significant potential of microfinance to foster development across countries in the region.
