We are a banking institution with a solid regional trajectory of 111 years, founded in Honduras on February 10, 1913. We began operations in the city of La Ceiba, and in August of the same year, the State of Honduras accredited us as an institution authorized for the official issuance of banknotes in Honduras for 37 years.
Banco Atlántida is synonymous with trust and proximity. We serve individual consumers, SMEs, and large corporations through a variety of financial products and services and a robust multi-channel electronic banking platform, also building a strong relationship with an extensive and prestigious network of correspondent banks internationally, thus ensuring our clients' transactions worldwide.
Currently, we are the only bank in Honduras with national coverage, with broad market participation and a relevant position in the corporate segment, boasting a network that includes 186 branches, 23 drive-thru banks, and more than 3,400 Agentes Atlántida (non banking correspondants) nationwide, who have a presence in the 18 departments of Honduran territory. Likewise, we promote financial inclusion through Agentes Atlántida, being the first in Central America to offer this innovative service for the benefit of our communities with service points in areas underserved by other banking institutions.
