Banco Atlántida received the recognition after undergoing an evaluation process that analyzes the best socially responsible practices that benefit the country's development.
Tegucigalpa, September 6th, 2018. - The award was granted by the Honduran Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility (Fundahrse) during its annual ceremony in which socially responsible corporate initiatives implemented by Honduran companies throughout the evaluated year were recognized. CSR is based on ISO 26000, an international standard based on fundamental issues´ demands such as human rights, the environment, governance, participation and community development; labor practices, consumer issues and fair operations. At the award ceremony, the representative of Banco Atlántida´s Board of Directors, Robert Vinelli, stated that receiving the Fundahrse award means that "we have complied with the mechanisms, the system and the procedures to declare ourselves as a socially responsible company.''
Mr. Vinelli also added, "Throughout the years, we have always been recognized as a financial institution that operates with transparency and ethics. For more than 105 years, our company has offered optimal employment conditions and opportunities; complying with our standards of good citizenship and with social initiatives and programs that create a positive impact for our society. We are determined to abide by the established mechanisms to remain as a socially responsible company, since acting in accordance to our institutional values is increasingly important and essential to guarantee our integrity, commitment to society and our compliance with the law, as well as all the other elements proposed by the award.” The pillars that support Banco Atlántida as a socially responsible company are based on solidarity, commitment, excellence, professionalism, and integrity.
