Grupo Financiero Atlántida is the largest sponsor of the Olimpia Basic Forces who will represent Honduras for the second time at the 2019 Donosti Cup in Spain.
Tegucigalpa July 1, 2019.- After the unbeaten victory of the Olimpia Basic Forces (OBF) during the regional soccer tournament, Apple Cup 2019, in El Salvador, the team showed its valuable talent by winning a place in the 2019 Donosti Cup International Tournament, to be held in San Sebastian, Spain from July 7 to 13. This tournament is the biggest event related to youth soccer that takes place in Spain. Every summer more than 640 teams from 27 countries participate, making this soccer tournament the fourth largest in the world.
Banco Atlántida and AFP Atlántida, members of Grupo Financiero Atlántida, together with OIimpia Sports Club, make the participation of the OBF - Sub 12 champions during the famous 2019 Donosti Cup possible by sponsoring official uniforms and total equipment.
The official delivery of the uniforms was made in the Social Sports Club of Banco Atlántida and had the participation of Grupo Financiero Atlántida executives, technical team and players of the Olimpia Basic Forces as well as media. The different styles of the official uniform were unveiled in a parade featuring the small great players of the OBF.
Mr. Héctor Ávila, Vice President of Corporate Governance of the banking institution said "We are proud to support Honduran sports because without doubt, through soccer as in other sports, young people develop social skills and values such as teamwork, perseverance, respect, discipline and determination. Hence, we are willing to continue promoting healthy recreation in these areas.” The OBF's Coach, Oscar Cocly Salgado, showed his enthusiasm and gratitude towards Grupo Financiero Atlántida for the outstanding and continuous support they have given to the seedbed of Honduran soccer talent.
Among the participating countries in the 2019 Donsoti Cup figure more than 9,000 players from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Finland, Norway, Portugal, Canada, USA, Russia, Japan, Switzerland, South Africa, Mexico, England, Peru, Australia, Guatemala, Nigeria, Colombia, China, Panama, Congo, and others.
