Inversiones Atlántida, Banco Atlántida’s main shareholder, continues its regional expansion announcing operations in Nicaragua and other markets

The financial conglomerate opens its doors in Nicaragua with its flagship brand, Banco Atlántida

Since Inversiones Atlántida (INVATLAN), began its regional expansion process in 2015 through the purchase of the largest pension fund in Central America and the Caribbean, AFP Confía, in El Salvador, the conglomerate has continued to make steady investments with the vision of paving their way into Central and South America. On November 1, 2019, after two years of operations of Banco Atlántida in El Salvador, the doors of Banco Atlántida Nicaragua opened.

In this new venture, the Bank is established with the purpose of expanding the opportunities for regional clients, as well as meeting the financial needs of Nicaraguans with quality and innovation. The solid support of INVATLAN and its extensive trajectory, allows Banco Atlántida to offer solutions to the business sector, SMEs, and people banking.

During the following years, Banco Atlántida proposes to carry out a growth plan, expanding its service portfolio by opening more branches and digital channels in the Nicaraguan territory.

In South America, the INVATLAN investments are concentrated in the stock market, incorporating companies focused on financial advice, fund management, and trusts as well as a digital financial information platform.

The continuous regional expansion process has been motivated by the interest of diversifying the Group's investments, as well as better serving its customers wherever they are. In the last three years, the Financial Group has gone from managing more than $4,000 million to managing more than $11,000 million in assets.
