Honduras Digital Challenge has gained a level of relevance that transcends borders as it has borne important fruits, serving as a platform to catapult the talent of Honduran entrepreneurs, who are bearers of successful stories that support this initiative, and companies that have been born and grown within the project and have achieved success inside and outside the national territory.
With the testimonies of the achievements obtained in previous editions, the credibility of the Startup community has grown, motivating Honduran entrepreneurs and leveraging their digital projects to the next level. The program has had more than 150 pre-incubated technology companies and more than 30 trained companies, leaving at least 850 qualified entrepreneurs in more than 28 events.
Honduras Digital Challenge includes the acclaimed “Startup Challenge”, or pre-incubation program as the first component, which consists of a competition between technology-based entrepreneurship projects, mainly in the categories of Health, Fintech-Financial Technologies, Agribusiness, Business Software, Video games, and others.
There is also a special category: Technology in favor of Transparency, where projects whose main goal is to help improve public processes, access to information, encouragement of denunciation, and monitoring and follow-up of public institutions are presented.
The program develops in two modalities, the Idea Track for new and fresh ideas that can be converted into profitable businesses and the Flight Track, designed for businesses that are already underway and seek to boost their growth.
All applications are evaluated to announce the those who are selected in the month of April. From April to July (3 months), various bootcamps, virtual conferences, mentoring and other activities are offered that help teams prepare for the second component of the program called Honduras Digital Summit / Demo Day.
At the Honduras Digital Summit / Demo Day, they present the projects to a panel of international judges who will evaluate their performance and reward the best projects based on Implementation, Business Model, Work Team and Scalability.
In addition, this same day, participants and the general public have access during that day to keynote talks imparted by national and international speakers of the Global Ecosystem, networking events, and workshops.
Without a doubt, Honduras Digital Challenge is the most complete entrepreneurship program in the country, with which it is hoped to continue opening new opportunities in the world to export quality Honduran services that meet the needs of the digital ecosystem.
